4 Tips for a Better Resume

Put focus where it belongs.

Your resume is your marketing tool. Have your resume focus on the experiences that are relevant to the job you are applying for.

Keep your resume current.

Due to electronic applicant tracking systems, if you do not use the right keywords your resume will be overlooked. Make sure you continue to use current keywords to prevent this.

Use bullet points to display important information.

Bullet points are easier to read than paragraphs and make your resume look clean. Make sure each bullet point:
1) starts with an action verb
2) describes specific skills you used during a job
3) shows accomplishments you had during a job

Make sure your resume is free of errors.

Correct spelling and grammar is super important since this is your first impression to the employer.
